How to Make Money From Home Using Squidoo & HubPages

If you been searching for one of the easiest ways that will get you into profit and teach you how to make money from home then you can't go past using free web portals like Squidoo and HubPages.

Both of these platforms (apart from being free) are great for making money online because they rank really well in the search engines. Just by providing good quality, useful and original content on these sites you can just about make money from any niche that you can think of.

While I personally prefer HubPages over Squidoo (it used to be the other way around, but lately my hubs are getting far more traffic and making me far more sales than my Squidoo len's are) but it really doesn't matter which platform you choose when using these methods so use the one you are most familiar with.

The reason why I suggest using a hub or lens over your own domain (at least when you are starting out) is that you are borrowing the strength and authority of these domains to your own pages and can therefore rank much better and higher than you could probably do yourself.

So how do you make money from home using these free portals?

Obviously the first thing you need to do is choose a niche that can be monetized and also that you know a little bit about.

Do some keyword research and find the best keyword phrase that you can. I usually look for phrases that have three words or more in them, get decent search traffic and don't have too much competition. Use that keyword phrase in your hub or lens title.

Next write an article of about 500 or so words (or more if you feel like it) and break it up into two or three sections so you can make each section a separate module on your page.

Lastly add an image or two and even a video if you can find one that's relevant using the available modules.

I also like to add a news feed to the bottom of my pages so that they are constantly changing and updating without me having to touch them again.

Publish your HubPage or Squidoo lens and you are done.

Usually your page will rank quite well on its own, but you can always help it out with traffic by sending a few links it's way. One of my favorite ways to get traffic to my hubs and lenses is to write articles just like this one that point a link back to my page.
